My name is Rory Murray, I'm married with 2 kids at home, one at University and I'm "mid-40s", going a little grey and not as slim as I was 10 years ago.
I was chatting (over a beer) to a couple of guys in a bar about networking and explaining how much extra work it's got me. When asked how much I've made directly from networking, I added it up on the spot and was amazed that the answer was over $1m in the last few years - by accident!!
When I say, "by accident", what I mean is that I wasn't trying to make money from networking, I was just playing with a bunch of sites and online communities and attending networking meetings and, over time, I started to get work from it - lucrative work. On top of that, I have travelled extensively across Europe, Middle East, Africa and North America and have lived and worked for periods of months at a time in Lisbon, Amsterdam, Bahrain, Nigeria, Malawi, Zurich, Paris, California and elsewhere.
This site, quite simply, will explain how I did it without selling you anything! No squeeze pages, no sales pitch. Not now, not ever!
The vast majority of this income has come from referrals and recommendations, but some has come from people simply finding my online profiles in search engine results and hiring me based on the information they found on sites like LinkedIn. I aim to share with you here what I've learned - what works and what to avoid - I don't claim to be a "guru", or an "expert", but you will get results if you apply the tips and tricks intelligently and appropriately for your business.
Nothing I'm going to share with you here is "rocket science" - it's all stuff that you can apply in your business easily and, if you're willing to make the effort, it will deliver measurable results for your business within days or weeks for a business of any size - sole trader to large corporate.
I will also introduce you to some friends of mine, who are experts in their respective fields and they will give you more detail on specific aspects of online and face-to-face networking and building a powerful reputation that will help you be more effective.
